How to transfer a Domain out?
What is the domain transfer?
A domain transfer refers to the process of moving a domain name from one domain registrar to another. Individuals or organizations may choose to transfer their domain to take advantage of better pricing, improved customer support, enhanced features, or more user-friendly management tools offered by a different registrar.
Follow these Steps to transfer your domain from BoostedHost:
1: Is your domain name eligible for transfer?
To confirm that your domain is eligible for transfer, log in to your BoostedHost account at https://panel.boostedhost.com/. and verify the following: a: Your domain must have been registered for at least 60 days and must not have been transferred between multiple registrars within the past 60 days, as per ICANN's transfer policy.
b: Additionally, ensure that the domain is not locked or on hold with BoostedHost. Domains are automatically locked for 60 days after registration, contact modification, or a recent transfer, so you’ll need to wait until this period has passed before initiating a transfer.
2: Submit the Transfer through your BoostedHost account.
Unlock domain name for transfer.
a: Log in to your BoostedHost account at https://panel.boostedhost.com/. b: In the left-side menu, locate and click on the "Domains" tab, and all the available domains in your account will be shown, then click on the domain you wants to Transfer out. In this guide we are using allabouthosting.de domain.

c: Before transferring your domain, you’ll need to unlock it. BoostedHost domain registry lock the domains by default to protect them from accidental changes or unauthorized transfers. You can unlock your domain through your BoostedHost dashboard. Let's unlock the domain. On the domain overview page you will see a notification which shows 'Domain Currently Unlocked!' and 'You should enable the registrar lock unless you are transferring the domain.'

From the left-side menu, locate and click on the "Registrar Lock" tab, and Registrar Lock status page will be open, By default the button is set to 'OFF' to prevent from the transfer, click on the button to unlock the domain and activate the transfer out.

d: Get EPP Code Once the domain is unlocked, you’ll also need to obtain the Authorization Code (also known as an Auth or EPP code). This code is required for transferring most domain types, including .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, and many others.
From the left-side menu, locate and click on the "Get EPP Code" tab, and EPP code page will be open, You will see the EPP code in the light green section "The EPP Code for your domain is: xxxxxx." In our guide we did hide the EPP code due to security measurements.

Note: If the code isn’t available in your account, please reach out to BoostedHost support and request for the EPP code.
3: Final Step: Initiate the domain transfer to your another Host.
Every Host provider have their own structure of domain transfer in, but the method is almost the same.
Here is the detailed guide: 1: Log in to your another hosting account where you wants to transfer the domain. 2: Find the Domain transfer section and entered the domain name. 3: Domain eligibility check will be proceed to transfer, Once the domain is available to transfer then the price for the domain transfer will be shown. 4: On the checkout page you will be asked to enter the EPP Code you got from BoostedHost and the payment details to pay for the domain transfer. 5: Once you paid the invoice, the domain transfer request URL will be sent to your BoostedHost's registered email address, which you have to click to verify the domain transfer. Note: Domain transfer will be not successful until you verify the domain transfer request by clicking the URL send to your BoostedHost Registered Email Address.
Once approved, the transfer is initiated at the registry level, and the domain enters a "pending transfer" status. This stage usually lasts up to 5 days, after which the transfer is automatically approved if no issues arise. Once approved, it may take an additional 24 to 48 hours for the registry to finalize the transfer and update the domain's status with the new registrar.
Special Note: Please ensure that the invoice is paid immediately after checkout; otherwise, the domain transfer cannot be processed. To avoid any interruptions, we recommend adding funds to your another hosting account in advance.
