Downloading a backup is important because it keeps your website safe even if your hosting fails. If your server crashes or data gets lost, you can restore everything from your own saved backup. Keeping a copy on your computer or cloud storage gives you full control and extra security.

In this guide from BoostedHost we are explaining in detail how to download any backup.

1: Login to cPanel - by logging into your BoostedHost account.

2: Locate the Files Section - Find the "JetBackup 5" Tab in the Files Section and click to open it.

3: Locate the "Restore & Download" - Open JetBackup and go to the Restore & Download page. Here, you will find multiple tabs with available backups, such as Full Account, Cron Jobs, Home Directory, Databases, etc.

4: Download the Desired Backup - Navigate to the backup directory you need and select your backup. At the bottom of the page, you will see several buttons, including Restore and Download. Click on the Download button, and the backup will start downloading instantly to your computer. Make sure to complete the download and save the files in a safe location for future use.
